Bonding:
Bonding is simply adding a tooth-colored composite material to the tooth and
hardening it with a special light. The composite ultimately "bonds" the material
to the tooth to restore or improve person's smile. The most frequent uses of the
bonding technique is to fill in a gap between front teeth and repair cracked or
chipped teeth. Other uses are composite resin fillings to repair decayed teeth,
as an alternative to amalgam fillings, improve the appearance of discolored
teeth, change the shape of teeth, and protect the portion of a tooth’s roots
that have been exposed from receding gums.
