Tooth Whitening:

A whiter and brighter smile is beautiful. Most people may benefit from tooth whitening. We use products that have been proven safe when used under the direction of a dentist.

Dr. Owais will evaluate your teeth and smile to determine whether whitening is right for you. Treatment may not be as effective for some as it is for others. After a thorough oral exam and shade assessment, we can determine if you are a viable candidate for this procedure.

You can choose in-office light-activated whitening for immediate results, or you can choose a take-home whitener. With either system, some patients may experience side effects of mild tooth or gum sensitivity. These symptoms are only temporary and disappear within a few days.

In-Office Whitening:

For In-Office bleaching, we utilize the advanced Zoom! In-Office Whitening System by Discus Dental. If you’re looking for immediate results, then this is ideal for you. In just over an hour, you will have noticeably whiter teeth.

The In-Office Whitening procedure is simple and painless. We begin with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums. Then we apply the whitening gel to your teeth and activate it with a specially designed light. Teeth typically become at least three to ten shades whiter. A five-minute fluoride treatment completes the procedure. The results are amazing. In most cases, teeth get even whiter the first few days after the procedure. With proper care and an occasional touch-up, your whiter smile will last for years.

Take-Home Whitening:

For Take-Home Whitening we offer Nite White ACP by Discus Dental. Nite White ACP remineralizes teeth while whitening them. By rebuilding tooth enamel, teeth become stronger and less susceptible to caries. Nite White ACP whitens, rebuilds enamel and works in 3-nights, all with dramatically reduced sensitivity.

First, we will make impressions of your teeth so that our lab can create custom whitening trays to fit your mouth. These trays will guide the whitening agent to the areas of your teeth that need to be whitened.

Next, we will fit your custom trays in your mouth to make sure they feel comfortable. We will instruct you on how to apply the whitening agent to your trays and how to insert them into your mouth. You will take the custom trays and whitening agent home with you. The treatment can be applied 2-4 hours twice daily or overnight.
